Violinist in Seattle and violin lessons

Laura began her violin lessons at the age of 7 in Romania. Remarkably, by the time she was just 10 years old, she made her debut as a soloist under the guidance of representative pedagogues from the great Romanian violin school. She pursued her education at the “Dinu Lipatti” National College of Arts in Bucharest, Romania, and the “Music Conservatory” in Greece. Additionally, she enriched her musical journey by attending masterclasses with instructors from around the world, refining her skills and gaining diverse perspectives. She holds a "Professional Certificate" in Violin Performance, a "Violin Performance Degree with Excellence" and a "Violin Soloist Diploma with Distinction and First Prize".

But the most significant is her great enthusiasm for music and particularly for violin! Laura is teaching and performing for over 25 years, in EU and USA.

Laura has performed as a soloist and as member of orchestras and she has been broadcasted live on TV and Radio. She loves playing different musical genres, from classical to rock, pop, jazz, and tango music. An avid world traveler, she is always exploring new places and learning about different cultures and their music, performing in collaboration with musicians from EU, UK and USA.

Laura has a particular love and a strong interest in teaching the violin, always maintaining her commitment to help her students discover and reach their full potential. After winning the first prize nationally in her first competition at age 10, she was asked what she wanted to do when she grew up. Without hesitation, she replied that she would open a music school to teach everyone how to play the violin! Beside her teaching Studio, she taught as a Professor of Violin at the "Hellenic Conservatory of Music and Arts", the "Polyphonic Conservatory", The Chestnut Hill Academy Philadelphia, among others, in Europe and the United States. She is also a member of the United States Music Teachers National Association and the Seattle Music Teachers Association.

Laura currently resides in Seattle, performing as a soloist and in various ensembles in the US, while teaching In-Person in her boutique violin Studio in Seattle, and Online to students all over the world. She speaks English, Romanian, and Greek, and is happy to hold bilingual lessons with students whose native language is not English. She looks forward to meeting you!
